Triple Assessment

TheTriple assessment is a diagnostic procedure used for symptomatic womenand women recalled for assessment following screening. All women with adiscrete lump referred to a specialist surgeon will undergo Tripleassessment. The procedure consists of examination by a breast surgeon,mammography and/or ultrasound, and fine needle aspiration or corecutbiopsy.

Confident diagnosis in 95% cases

 

Triple assessment enables a confident diagnosis to be made in 95% of patients with suspected breast cancer.
